Sandra L. McLain, 45
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Sandra Lynn McLain, 45, of 460 Church St. died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Born in Derby, Conn., on Feb. 26, 1963, daughter of Charles McLain and Evelyn Buttery Lewis, she attended schools in Newtown, Conn.
Ms. McLain was employed by Aramark Services at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts at the time of her death. Before that, she was a cook at the former Joga Cafe in North Adams. She was an accomplished baker.
Besides her mother and stepfather, Michael Lewis, of Tennessee, she leaves a daughter, Sarah Novicky of Adams; a son, Mathew Novicky of North Adams; her former husband, George Novicky; three sisters, Terry Soberg, Denise McLain and Nancy McLain; a brother, Steven McLain, and her longtime friend, Mark Gelormino of North Adams.
She was predeceased by a brother, Todd McLain.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service for Sandra Lynn McLain will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at 11 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations can be made in her memory through the funeral home.
