Barbara E. Dupuis, 89
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Barbara Elizabeth Dupuis, 89, of 611 State Road died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.
Born in Malden, on Sept. 11, 1919, daughter of Charles and Louise Crocker Harris, she attended schools in Malden.
Mrs. Dupuis was employed by Williams College in its food service department for three years, until her retirement in 1983. Before that, she worked as a waitress at the Four Acres and Cozy Corner restaurants in Williamstown.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Her husband, Albert Dupuis, whom she married May 28, 1938, died on Feb. 27, 1987.
She leaves two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and William Barbeau of Hancock and Susan and Thomas Marsh of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, Lawrence Harris of Cambridge; five grandchildren, Thomas Marsh Jr., Lynn Marsh, Raymond Theodore Marsh, Scott Barbeau and Paige Gleason, seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings Charlotte Harris, Virginia Molenda, Louise Charles and Paul Harris.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Barbara Dupuis will be Friday, Oct. 31, at 8:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 at St. Francis' Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Firefighters Local 1781 or the North Adams Ambulance Service in care of the funeral home.
