Catherine R. Ghidotti, 87
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Catherine Rose Ghidotti, 87, of 125 State St. died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at North Adams Commons.
Born in North Adams on Nov. 24, 1921, daughter of John and Mary Scovine Ghidotti, she attended city schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1939.
Ms. Ghidotti was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 44 years until her retirement in 1986.
She was a communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church and a member of its bazaar committee. She also was a member of the Gold Card Club at Sprague Electric and the IUE Retirees.
She leaves a brother, John L. Ghidotti of North Adams; nieces and nephews Craig Ghidotti of Shaftsbury, Vt., Gary Ghidotti, Gail Cozzaglio and David Ghidotti, all of North Adams; Marc Ghidotti of Sturbridge, and Lauren Ghidotti of Denver, and grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Ms. Ghidotti will be Friday, May 1, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 5 to 7. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth's Church or the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
