Carolyn Blanquart, 84
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Carolyn Blanquart, 84, a former city resident, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Berkshire Medical Center in Springfield. She had been residing a Springside of Pittsfield.
Born in Adams on March 14, 1925, daughter of James E. and Anna Barschdorf Roberts, she attended schools there and was a graduate of the former Bliss Business School in North Adams.
Mrs. Blanquart was employed as a secretary in the sales department at James Hunter Machine Co. in North Adams and retired as a secretary from GE in Pittsfield.
She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church.
Her husband of 20 years, Robert J. Blanquart, a vice president of R.T. Arnold Lumber Co., died April 27, 1966.
She leaves her son, James Robert Blanquart, of Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Blanquart will be held Thursday morning, June 18, at 10 from Auge-San Soucie-Simmons Funeral Home, 46 North Church St., North Adams. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 17, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of North Adams through the funeral home.
