Sylvia E. Hudson, 86
GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. â€' Sylvia E. Hudson, 86, of South Main Street died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in New Marlborough on Aug. 15, 1922, daughter of Robert and Mabel Austin Hudson, she attended schools there.
Miss Hudson worked as a machine operator at the former Great Barrington Manufacturing Co. in Great Barrington, the former Turner & Cook in Southfield and the former Wash and Dry in Connecticut.
She was a member of Congregational Church of Southfield and the Great Barrington Grange 265. She enjoyed reading and listening to music.
She is survived by her sister, Nellie Hudson, of Great Barrington.
FUNERAL NOTICE â€' A service celebrating the life of Miss Hudson will be conducted on Wednesday, July 22, at 2 p.m. at Lee Memorial Cemetery in Southfield by the Rev. Anne E. Ryder, pastor of Christ Church Episcopal and Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheffield. There will be no calling hours.
