Marcia M. Mason, 36
GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Marcia Marie Mason, 36, a longtime resident of Housatonic, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, following a brief illness.
Born in Westfield on July 27, 1973, the daughter of David Mason of Halifax and Mary Gleason of Bernardston, she was raised in Bernardston and attended Blandford Grammar School and Turners Falls High School. She moved to Berkshire Meadows in Housatonic 18 years ago.
Ms. Mason will be remembered for her quiet ways and winning smile. She enjoyed being with family and friends and took great interest in activities with them. She was a great Dolly Parton fan and loved listening to country music. She had recently celebrated her 36th birthday in her hometown of Bernardston at a party attended by her family and many friends and neighbors. A friend to all who knew her, she will be greatly missed by all and always will be remembered.
Besides her parents, she leaves her best friend and stepfather, "Poppi"; her brother, Sean Mason and his daughter, Savannah; her stepbrother, Daniel Gleason and his wife, Kimberly, and children Kimberly, Kyle and Ryan; her stepbrother's stepsister, Wendy Gaines and her husband, Jeff, and many other relatives and friends.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service celebrating Ms. Mason's life will be held on Monday, Aug. 24, at noon at Berkshire Meadows, 249 Main St., Housatonic, and on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 11 at the United Church in Bernardston.
