Rosemarie V. Gelinas, 69

FLORIDA, Mass. — Rosemarie Veronica Gelinas, 69, of 11 Moores Road died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at Williamstown Commons. Born in Stamford, Conn., on Jan. 16, 1940, daughter of Hugo and Elsie Kiel Mezzanotte, she graduated from Drury High School in North Adams. Mrs. Gelinas was employed at Best Friend's Boarding in Florida for about eight years. Before that, she worked at Big Y Supermarket, the former Hills Department Store, Burger King and Boston Sea Foods Restaurant. She was a member of the Drury Hockey Booster Club and a supporter of the Berkshire Humane Society. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, was a Red Sox and Bruins fan and loved animals. She leaves her husband, Norman H. Gelinas, whom she married on Aug. 16, 1985; three sons, Walker C. Lane of Swansea, Toryn M. Lane of North Adams and Darin R. Lane of the town of Florida; three daughters, Karen E. Lutrell of Austin, Texas, Meribah R. Lane of Mystic, Conn., and Dawn L. Bromley of Augusta, Ga.; two stepsons, Bruce Gelinas of Adams and Wayne Gelinas of the town of Florida, and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Mezzanotte and sister Roberta Risch. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Gelinas will be held Monday, Jan. 11, at 11 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will be in the spring in Florida Church Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, Jan. 10, from 2 to 5. Memorial donations can be made to the funeral home.
