Sean B. Williams, 22
CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Sean Busbee Williams, 22, of 140 Musterfield Heights died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, as a result of an automobile accident in Shelburne Falls.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 26, 1987, son of Richard D. and Linda A. Bianco Williams of Clarksburg, he attended Clarksburg schools and graduated with honors from Drury High School in North Adams with the class of 2006. He was in his senior year at Bentley University in Waltham, where he was studying accounting.
Mr. Williams was a talented athlete and was a member of his high school varsity soccer, basketball and golf teams, and served as captain of all three. He was recognized with the Peter Foote Memorial Award for his efforts on the basketball team. He also was a volunteer coach and referee for the local youth soccer and basketball leagues.
At Bentley, he was manager of the Bentley Falcons men's varsity basketball team for four years. He also played on the rugby team, of which he was secretary. He was a founding member of Sigma Pi Fraternity on the Bentley campus. He had worked at the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown for the past six years and was awarded a Ouimet Scholarship for his four years of college.
He attended St. John's Episcopal Church in North Adams.
Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Ross R. Williams of New York City, his maternal grandparents, Dr. Norman Bianco and Lorena Bianco of North Adams, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Williams will be celebrated Thursday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in North Adams. Burial will be at a later date in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 4 to 8 at Flynn and Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sean Williams Memorial Scholarship in care of the funeral home.
