Carol A. Rolnick, 55
CLARKSBURG, Mass. - Carol Ann Rolnick, 55, of 171 Pine Ave., died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, Vt., after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in North Adams on March 22, 1955, daughter of Eldor G. "Pete" and Alma Marie Bergeron Brazeau of North Adams, she graduated in 1973 from the former St. Joseph's High in North Adams and completed classes in the Medical Assistance Program at McCann Technical School.
Ms. Rolnick had a long career in the banking field in Berkshire County, working in the customer service departments for Adams Co-Operative, Hoosac and the Williamstown Savings banks. She was last employed as a crossing guard for the North Adams School System, a position that she enjoyed greatly enjoyed because of the interaction with the children.
Besides her parents, she leaves her longtime companion, Francis Maruco of North Adams; three daughters, Cheryl Green and her husband, Jeremy, of Readsboro, Vt., Kimberly Salisbury and her husband, Peter, of Troy, N.Y., and Courtney Rolnick of Clarksburg; a sister, Sandra Jean Descoteau of Adams; four grandchildren, Dylan, Ethan, Marcus and Gavin, and two nieces.
She was predeceased by her brother, James Brazeau, in childhood.
FUNERAL NOTICE - Funeral services for Ms. Rolnick will take place Thursday, July 22, at 11 at St. John's Episcopal Church in North Adams.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 21, from 4 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for Relay for Life through the funeral home.
