Bartak Runs Over McCann
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Greenfield quarterback Zach Bartak punished McCann (1-2) on Saturday afternoon with rushing scores from 7, 42, and 48 yards out while also scoring on a 30-yard interception return to lead his team to a 36-8 victory over the Hornets.Bartak got his team on the board with the 30-yard interception return that put the Green Wave's lead at 6-0. McCann answered with a 70-yard drive that ended with a 3-yard John LeClair touchdown. LeClair finished the day with 80 yards on 18 carries.
From there on it was all Bartak. He finished the game with 154 yards on 12 rushes and completed six of his seven pass attempts for 115 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown pass.
McCann will look to rebound from the tough loss on Saturday when Franklin Tech comes to town for a 1 p.m. start.
