Drury Boys Fall to Hampden Charter

CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Hampden Charter boys soccer took a 3-1 lead en route to a 5-1 win over Drury in the Blue Devils’ regular season finale.

Noah Arnold scored for Drury, which had some chances to get within a goal in the second half but was not able to finish.

“Very disappointing loss for us and we are going to have to have a short memory and get right back to work on Monday to have a better fight in us when States begin next week,” Drury coach John Jacobbe said.

The Blue Devils (8-7-2) started Friday as the No. 28 team in Division 5 in the latest MIAA in-season power rankings. The seedings for the boys and girls soccer state tournaments are scheduled to be released on Thursday.
