PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Bash Sowe scored the game-winner Tuesday as the Pittsfield boys soccer team beat Taconic, 2-0, at Berkshire Community College.

Quinn Schaller set up Sowe for a goal in the 13th minute.

Thomas Gonzalez scored unassisted early in the second half.

“I thought defensively we were compact and dealt well with all Taconic’s attacks through good communication and effort,” Pittsfield coach Ryan Wanek said. “We need to continue to play unselfish soccer.”

Pittsfield (3-8-2) is 2-0-1 in its last three games going into Thursday’s game at Agawam.

Taconic (5-9) hosts Easthampton on Thursday.
