Taconic Boys Fall at Easthampton in Finale
EASTHAMPTON, Mass. – A depleted Taconic roster took a 7-1 defeat at Easthampton on Friday afternoon.
The Thunder made the trip with just 11 varsity players and a couple of junior varsity “floaters” who stepped up to help out, Taconic coach Jason Keller said.
Senior Joshua Alvarez scored the lone goal for Taconic.
“Tough to say goodbye to a season where I enjoyed so many of the kids and their families,” Keller said. “Many players played their hearts out but the scoreboard was unkind.
“Goalie John Paraons played a great game as the score could have been much worse. I appreciate his efforts and attitude. He easily could have lashed out at his team but he remained calm and continued to work hard the whole 80 minutes.”
Taconic finishes the season 5-12-1.
