Rohlfs, Norcross Lead Hurricanes Past Franklin Tech
TURNERS FALLS, Mass. -- Dylan Rohlfs scored a pair of goals, and Drew Norcross had three assists Tuesday to lead the Hoosac Valley boys soccer team to a 4-2 win over Franklin Tech.
Blake Mazzeo and Ethan Dubis each scored a goal for the Hurricanes, who overcame a rough first half to play much better in the second 40 minutes, according to coach Blair Mahar.
"Craig Field was strong in goal," Mahar said. "We were missing two of our starting fullbacks, so Diego Luna and Sage Chilson came off the bench to put in strong and impressive shifts to help lock down our defense under the leadership of center back John Lyons."
Hoosac Valley (8-1-2) plays Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter on Thursday.
