ADAMS, Mass. -- Chad Howes scored twice for Wahconah in a wild second half as the visitors earned a 4-2 win over Hoosac Valley on Monday under the lights at Renfrew Park.

After a scoreless first half, Howes got the scoring started in the 57th minute when he scored on a rebound.

Hoosac’s Steve Crouch convered a through ball from Paolo Kareh to tie the score moments later, but Howes converted a Cole Accardi assist to give Wahconah the lead for good.

Wahconah’s Ethan Wesley scored with help from Brent Sinopoli with less than four minutes to play to provide the final margin.

“The second half was back and forth,” Hoosac Valley coach Mike Russo said. “It was a very even game, I would say. Both teams had chances. And both defenses played well, but late in the game, fatigue set in and opened up the game a bit.”

Anthony Dondiego stopped six saves to earn the win for Wahconah (1-5), which hosts West Springfield on Thursday.

Hoosac Valley’s Jaydin Cooper stopped three shots.

The Hurricanes (2-5-1) host Mount Everett on Wednesday.
