CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Dan Pompi scored twice and set up a goal to lead the Hoosac Valley boys soccer team to a 4-1 win over McCann Tech on Wednesday.

Evan Norcross and Jake Halverson each scored a goal for the Hurricanes (4-5), who won their third straight while scoring 10 goals in that span.

Connor Griswold scored for McCann Tech on an assist from Justin Chen.

“Unfortunately we had to play the last 30 minutes with 10 men when Colby [Ghidotti] received a red card for trying to save a goal,” McCann Tech coach John Bresett said. “The game was hard fought and the boys poured their souls into the game and were unlucky with the result tonight.”

The Hornets (2-8-1) host Franklin Tech on Tuesday.

Hoosac Valley goes to Drury on Thursday.
