Henderson Leads Spartans Past Mount Greylock

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Erving Henderson scored a pair of goals Wednesday to lead the Monument Mountain boys soccer team to a 3-1 win over Mount Greylock.
 
The win assured Monument Mountain a place in the state tournament as it upped its record to 8-2-3 with five games left in the regular season.
 
Henderson assisted on Milo Potoski’s goal to give the Spartans a 1-0 lead.
 
Mount Greylock responded when Everett Crowe set up Everett Bayliss, who made it 1-1.
 
But Henderson scored the game-winner with an assist from Oliver Curtis and gave the Spartans some insurance with an assist from Owen Heck.
 
Monument Mountain goes to Ludlow on Monday.
 
Mount Greylock (5-6-2) hosts Westfield on Friday.
