Pittsfield Boys Fall in Overtime
SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass. – Ian Paciorek scored a pair of goals Thursday to lead the Frontier boys soccer team to a 2-1, comeback win in overtime against Pittsfield in the Western Massachusetts Class B Tournament.
Pittsfield took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half when Armando Correas converted an assist from Ryan Stannard.
Early in the second, Paciorek got the equalizer, and then he needed just five minutes of sudden death overtime to end the game.
“Really proud of how the boys fought all game long,” Pittsfield coach Ryan Wanek said. “We gave Frontier a fight that they were not expecting from us today. Very disappointing to walk away with a loss but the boys gave me everything that they had. Couldn’t be more proud as a coach for how we finished the season this year.”
Pittsfield (5-10-2) is in line to play a consolation game in the tournament.
