PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Avi Snowise made seven saves Monday to help the Pittsfield boys soccer team earn a 1-1 tie against perennial power Ludlow at Kirvin Park.

“Overall, both teams played great soccer and had a plenty of chances,” Pittsfield coach Andrew Antil said. “This was a good result against a big team heading towards tournament time.

Hedi Abderrahim scored with an assist from Carter Matthews in the 16th minute to give the Generals the lead.

The Lions responded with a Mike Riley goal 12 minutes later.

“We conceded off an unfortunate set piece, but other than that our defense, along with Avi held strong,” Antil said.

Pittsfield (10-1-3) goes to Longmeadow on Wednesday.
