Lenox Tops Drury
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Ahmet Yildiz scored a pair of goals Tuesday to lead the Lenox boys soccer team to a 3-0 win over Drury in the season opener for both teams.
Devon Smits set up Yildiz six minutes in to give the Millionaires an early lead.
“At the half the score remained 1-0 but the Lenox boys came out with a new intensity and began pushing hard to find another goal,” Lenox coach Jedd Hall said. “About 20 minutes in, Tristan Pritchard found himself with the ball at his feet and maneuvered through several defenders to slot home an unassisted goal. Again Drury responded but couldn’t gain the momentum it needed.”
Yildiz found the back of the net again in the final minute off a cross from Pritchard.
Jason Sibley earned the win with three saves.

Parker Rivard stopped 13 shots for Dury (0-1), which is at Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School on Thursday.
Lenox (1-0) is at Hampshire Regional on Thursday.
