One of this week's iBerkshires.com Athletes of the Week has their team enjoying a perfect season so far.

The other helped their squad to a perfect start to its second season.

Madison Saunders and the Drury girls soccer team have followed up on last year's state tournament appearance by winning their first eight games this fall.

Saunders is the team's leading scorer and had at least a goal in every one of this week's wins -- including the game-winner in a 1-0 win over Mount Everett a pair in a 2-0 win over Taconic to start the week.

Last week, the MiAA released its first in-season power rankings for the fall season, and Drury checked in at No. 19 in Division 5 despite its unblemished record based on strength of schedule.

That schedule this week includes games against Berkshire County rivals Lee and Hoosac Valley before an Oct. 11 showdown against Mount Greyock, ranked 15th in D5 in the initial power raitings, on Oct. 11 in Williamstown.

Pittsfield entered Week 4 of the high school football season with an 0-3 record but, in a sense, a clean slate as it took on Putnam Voc in the teams' first league action in the Suburban North.

The Generals dominated from the opening kickoff as Keanu Arce-Jackson directed Pittsfield's offense to six touchdowns in a 52-0 win.

Arce-Jackson threw for 218 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 60 yards and the game's first score, which came in the first minute of play at Gene Dellea Field at Berkshire Community College.

Pittsfield goes on the road to Chicopee on Friday before playing its last three games at "home" -- against South Hadley and Ludlow with "road" game against city rival Taconic sandwiched in on Oct. 21.
