McCann Tech's Lloyd Hits Milestone in Win over Drury
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Jordyn Lloyd Tuesday scored a pair of goals, including the 50th of her high school career, to lead the McCann Tech girls soccer team to a 3-1 win over Drury.
Shaylee Lawson scored a goal and set up Lloyd’s 50th goal on a corner kick.
Colbie Crouse also had an assist for the Hornets.
“An excellent team win against a talented Drury squad, and my alma mater,” McCann Tech coach Lindsay Lincoln said. “We are truly coming together and playing team soccer when it matters most, going into tournament play. Everyone from our defense to our forwards stepped up today.
“A big shout out to senior captain Jordyn for scoring her 50th career goal against our hometown rival. We couldn’t be more ready and have the momentum going into the vocational title game at the end of the week.”
McCann Tech (8-4-5) is in the finals of the State Vocational Tournament, where it awaits the winner of Wednesday’s game between Old Colony and Smith Vocational.
The Hornets and Blue Devils (6-10-2) are both in the Division 5 State Tournament; brackets for that are due on Saturday.
