Late Goal Trips Up McCann Tech Girls

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Sandy Munoz scored in the final minute of play Friday to lift the Springfield International Charter School girls soccer team to a 1-0 win over McCann Tech.

 

Munoz’ goal denied Hornets’ keeper Bella Lefevre a shutout after she made 17 saves.

 

“We had a couple great chances to capitalize but - solid play in net by their goalie,” McCann Tech coach Lindsay Lincoln said. “I am proud all around for our hustle today. It’s hard to lose in the last minute of a game but we move on and prepare for tomorrow’s game.”

 

The Hornets (1-5-2) have a quick turnaround to get ready for Saturday’s road game at Pioneer Valley.
