Mount Everett Girls Show Versatility in Road Win

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. – Emily Steuernagle scored two goals and assisted on another Wednesday to lead the Mount Everett girls soccer team to a 4-1 win over Franklin Tech.
 
Allison Steuernagle assisted on Emily’s second goal, the game-winner. Ella Gennari scored Mount Everett’s third goal to give the Eagles a three-goal margin at half-time.
 
McKeenzie Lotz tacked on a goal to push the lead to 4-0 in the second half.
 
“We had some players step up into different positions tonight with injuries and sickness and really applaud the effort everyone is giving,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “The team is really continuing to impress me with their work ethic on the field and willingness to sacrifice personal glory for team success.”
 
Makayla Carpenter made eight saves to earn the win in goal.
 
Mount Everett (6-2-1) takes a five-game winning streak into another road game at Smith Academy on Thursday.
