LENOX, Mass. – Cate Welch had a hat trick and assisted on a pair of goals Monday to lead the Lenox girls soccer team to a 9-0, Senior Night win over Taconic.

“Other than the weather, we couldn’t have asked for a better Senior Night,” Lenox coach William Welch said. “It was a special moment watching Lauren [Bridges] score. Chloe [Parsenios] has missed out on playing this season thanks to an injury, but exemplified how impactful she has been off the field as a captain tonight in the cold and pounding rain.”

Bridges finished with a goal and two assists.

Jane Elliot scored twice, and Claire Welch had a goal and an assist.

Lenox (4-9-3) learns Tuesday who it will face in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament.

Taconic (2-11-1) goes to Mount Everett on Wednesday.
