Mount Everett Girls Stop Taconic

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – The Mount Everett girls soccer team scored three times in the first half and went on to a 3-1 win over Taconic on Thursday.
 
Allison Steuernagle, Emily Steuernagle and Julianna Valentini each scored a goal for the Eagles, who got five saves from Emma Goewey.
 
Alex Hudson converted an assist from Hannah Burke for Taconic’s goal.
 
Elizabeth Reyes and Olivia Legree combined to stop five shots for the Thunder.
 
Taconic (0-1) goes to Gateway on Monday.
 
Mount Everett (1-1) hosts Monument Mountain on Saturday.
