Wahconah Girls Rout Springfield ICS

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Brooke Harrington Friday had two goals and two assists to lead the Wahconah girls soccer team to a 9-1 win over Springfield International Charter.

 

Bella Callahan and Gianna Heilbroun each scored a pair of goals in the win.

 

"Ella Scalise opened the scoring for us three minutes in with a screamer in the upper right corner," Wahconah coach Maggie Rivers said. "From there, the flood gates opened with goals from sophomore Brooke Harrington and freshman Bella Callahan, scoring 30 seconds after subbing into the game."

 

Paetyn Tatro needed to make two saves to earn the win in goal.

 

Wahconah (1-0) hosts Agawam on Saturday.
