Mounties Blank Lancers on Senior Night

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Mount Greylock girls soccer senior GG Nicastro set up the game-winner early in the first half as the Mounties earned a 3-0 win over Longmeadow on Senior Night.

“We lost 6-0 to [Longmeadow] last year on their senior night so it was enjoyable to somewhat return the favor tonight in Williamstown,” Mount Greylock coach Blair Dils said.

Nicastro played a through ball to Tanley Drake, who scored seven minutes into the game.

Rowan Apotsos and Adele Low tacked on insurance goals, and Drake finished with one assist to go with her goal.

Noemi Evans stopped six shots to earn the shutout win.

Mount Greylock (11-2-1) takes a three-game winning streak into Monday’s regular season finale at Hoosac Valley.
