Cooney, Monument Mountain Girls Blast Holyoke

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Mabel Cooney scored four goals, and Scarlett Ivas assisted on four goals Friday as the Monument Mountain girls soccer team beat Holyoke, 9-4.

 

“It was a wild afternoon at Spartan Stadium,” Monument Mountain coach Brian Jarvis said.”We struggled most of the year finding the net, but not today. Holyoke put up a spirited effort, but our girls were relentless out there.”

 

Mercedes Raifstanger and Juniper Raczkowski each had a goal and an assist, and Mallory Lucey, Gabriella Lopez and Lucy Dohoney each scored a goal in the win.

 

Monument Mountain (7-10) has won three out of its last four going into next Saturday’s game against Miss Hall’s School.
