Wahconah Tops Pittsfield
PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Brooke Harrington Friday scored a pair of second-half goals to lead the Wahconah girls soccer team to a 2-0 win over Pittsfield.
“Brooke Harrington broke through on a scramble in the box, poking it in past the goal line to finally get on the board in the second half,” Wahconah coach Maggie Rivers said.
“Another great defensive effort from our backline and a clean sheet for Wahconah keeper Paetyn Tatro. Chloe Difazio was unstoppable at defensive mid.”
Tatro made four saves to earn her second straight shutout for Wahconah (3-0), which goes to Lenox on Tuesday.
Pittsfield (3-1) will look to get back in the win column on Tuesday when it goes to Mount Greylock.
“We didn’t execute our game plan and committed two costly errors in the 18 in marking, easily fixable areas,” PHS coach Molly West said. “We have the effort and drive; we are a great group who will continue to learn and grow.”
