Pittsfield Wins at Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. – Bre’Jai Ellerbee had a goal and an assist, and the Pittsfield girls soccer team overcame a slow start to earn a 3-1 win over Holyoke on Wednesday.
 
Ellerbee scored her team’s first goal with an assist from Giselle Cormier.
 
Madi Pope put Pittsfield ahead for good when she converted an assist from Abbey Wong. and Hannah Dalton capped the scoring.
 
Harolyn Castillo needed to make three saves to earn the win.
 
“We came out flat today and it took us some time to adjust to the fast turf and gusting wind,” PIttsfield coach Molly West said. “Once we did,we had some good chances and moved the ball wide really well. Still need to work on smaller things like weak side defensive positioning and finishing/taking quicker shots, but glad to get a win.”
 
Pittsfield (6-4-2) hosts Monument Mountain on Thursday.
