Elliot's Hat Trick Leads Millionaires Past Pioneer Valley

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. – Jane Elliot recorded a hat trick, and Cate Welch set up three goals Monday to lead the Lenox girls soccer team to a 5-1 win over Pioneer Valley.

 

Claire Welch and Jane Elliot each scored a goal in the win as the Millionaires stopped a six-match winless streak.

 

“We showed real discipline and focus and stayed sharp in the second half,” Lenox coach William Welch said. “It was great to see the team moving the ball and passing the way we know they can. Today was a true team effort, with some special moments — career first goals for Fiona and Claire, a hat trick from Jane, and three assists from Cate.”

 

Lenox (2-5-1) goes to Lee on Tuesday.
