LENOX, Mass. -- The Northampton girls soccer team scored a pair of goals one minute apart midway through the second half to earn a 3-3 tie at Lenox on Thursday night.

Mary Elliot scored a goal and assisted on two more for the Millionaires.

Solia Herndon-Schmid and Jenny Collins each scored a goal. Herndon-Schmid assisted on Elliot's goal in the 52nd minute to give Lenox a 3-1 lead.

But the Blue Devils responded 13 minutes later, and Chloe Denhart scored her second of the game with 14 minutes left to tie it.

"Last week, Northampton was without Chloe Denhard, and the team definitely had more success with her speed and size on the front line," Lenox coach Brian Seminara said of a 3-1 Lenox win in Northampton. "Ultimately it was a great game that went fairly back and forth. These are the games we want to prepare ourselves for a run in the tournament."

Ella Hall made 11 saves for Lenox, which was outshot by a slim 14-13 margin.

Lenox (8-2-1) goes to Hoosac Valley on Saturday.
