CHICOPEE, Mass. -- Solia Herndon-Schmid scored early in the second half, and Ella Hall made 12 saves to lead the Lenox girls soccer to a 1-0 win over Chicopee on Tuesday.

Aliza Munch set up Herndon-Schmid with a cross from the corner for the game-winner in the 49th minute of the match.

“Most of the play throughout the game was in the middle of the field,” Lenox coach Brian Seminara said. “Lenox had some spells of possession, but struggled to get past Chicopee's defense and goalie. Chicopee was especially dangerous on counter attacks.”

Lenox (11-3-1) hosts Mount Greylock on Friday.
