Mount Greylock Downs Lee in Four Sets

LEE, Mass. – Olivia Perez recorded 13 kills Wednesday to lead the Mount Greylock volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Lee.

Perez notched nine aces and nine assists in the 25-10, 25-16, 17-25, 25-13 win.

“Lee came out much faster than us in the third set,” Mount Greylock coach Faith Wehner said. “We went into it expecting an outcome we still needed to put in work for. As a result, we ended up making even more work for ourselves. By the time we really started playing our game, it was too late.

“I am happy with how we came back in the fourth set. We didn’t let the adrenaline of a dropped set get to us, we came out strong and got the job done.”

Tyanna Lepicier put down 10 kills and served seven aces in the win. Kaleigh Jaros passed out a team-high 14 assists.

Mount Greylock (8-2) hosts Drury on Friday.

Lee (4-7) goes to Southwick on Friday.
