Volleyball Hall of Fame Recognizes Western Mass All-Stars

HOLYOKE, Mass. -- The International Volleyball Hall of Fame has recognized 17 high school players from Berkshire County who are invited to be honored at the IVHF All-Star games on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
 
Six players from Berkshire County were named to the hall's Western Massachusetts First Team All-Stars: Lenox's Emily Barenski and Grace Julieano, Wahconah's Emma Jacinto and Taea Cunagin and Mount Greylock's Olivia Perez and Tyanna Lepicier.
 
Second Team All-Stars incude: Alexandrea Rougeau, Wahconah; Alexis Masten, Lee; Claire Davis, Lee; Ella Stodden, Taconic; and Evelyn Julieano, Lenox.
 
Players receiving honorable mention include: Claire O'Brien, Lenox, Hannah Achurra, Lee; Kaleigh Jaros, Mount Greylock, Kiera Kristensen, Mount Greylock; Melaina Haczela, Wahconah; and Sophie Aubin, Taconic.
 
Tuesday's festivities will kickoff with a three-set match between the second-team all-stars at 6 p.m. At 7, both all-star teams and honorable mention selections will be recognized. The first-team all-stars will play a three-set match at about 7:30 p.m.
 
Tickets to the all-star event are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors 65 and older and free for students. A ticket includes a free admission pass to the International Volleyball Hall of Fame to be used at a later date.
