Belchertown Volleyball Team Tops Taconic

BELCHERTOWN, Mass. – The third-seeded Belchertown volleyball team Monday defeated Taconic, 3-0, in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B Tournament.

“Losing 0-3 is hard to swallow when you feel like you didn't perform at your best,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said. “We didn't show Belchertown what we are capable of tonight, and it hurts that they probably think that that was who we are. But bouncing back is what is most important and that's what we'll be talking about tomorrow.”

Gracelyn Cormier recorded seven kills and six digs, and Kirara Burston passed out eight assists. Kiera Yee recorded four blocks in the loss.

Taconic (12-7) waits to hear who it will face in the tournament’s consolation round.
