HOLYOKE, Mass. – Jadyn Galliher Wednesday recorded 10 kills to lead the Taconic volleyball team to a sweep of Holyoke.

Galliher also pulled up seven digs in the 25-19, 15-18, 25-21 win.

Nevaeh Williams had six kills, and Janayah Jones had four as the Thunder improved to 8-4 this season.

Since dropping a match at Putnam Voc on Sept. 27, Taconic has won nine of its next 10 sets in a three-match winning streak.

“We continue to improve and build off of what we learn about ourselves in every match,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said. “Tonight, we got off to a great start with Camille Kenney's serving as she quickly put us up 3-0 and set Holyoke on their heels with a few aces. Camille had her best night of the season, finishing with two blocks, three aces and two kills.”

Natalia Dos Santos anchored Taconic’s defense with 26 digs.

“Ella Stodden has been on the receiving end of  Natalia's hard work and is doing an awesome job of turning those passes into offense,” Fyfe said. “She finished the night with 22 assists to go along with one kill, one block, 10 digs and four aces.”

Taconic has a few days off to get ready for Monday’s rematch at city rival Pittsfield.
