Cunagin Leads Wahconah Volleyball to 10th Win

DALTON, Mass. – Taea Cunigan Thursday recorded 13 kills to lead the Wahconah volleyball team to a four-set win over Taconic.

 

Cunigan also served an ace in the 25-15, 16-25, 25-8, 25-13 win.

 

Emma Jacinto had nine kills and four aces. Meaina Haczela distributed 25 assists in the win.

 

Angelese Ward Green led the Thunder with seven kills and four blocks. Sophie Aubin had 15 digs, and Ella Stodden recorded 16 assists and six digs.

 

"Sophie Aubin, Aliyah Delsonno (10 digs), and Isla DiMassimo (eight digs) did an amazing job defensively tonight digging up powerful hit after powerful hit from Wahconah's front line," Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said.

 

Wahconah (10-3) hosts Westfield on Monday.

 

Taconic (5-9) is at Lee on Tuesday.
