Mount Greylock Closes Regular Season with Win
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Olivia Perez recorded 10 kills Friday to lead the Mount Greylock volleyball team to a three-set win over Wahconah.
Perez also passed out eight assists, served five aces and pulled up six digs in the 25-23, 25-23, 25-16 win.
Tyanna Lepicier had 12 digs and nine aces, and Kaleigh Jaros passed out 12 assists for the Mounties, who came from behind in every set in the hotly contested match.
“Wahconah has some great attackers, and I am really proud of our team's defense, resiliency and aggressiveness all night,” Mount Greylock coach Greg Geyer said. “Every set was close until Tyanna had her service run to bring the third set to game point. It was great to finish the regular season at home this way.”
Mount Greylock (9-5) will carry a four-match winning streak into the Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament.
Wahconah (11-5) goes to Agawam on Tuesday.
