WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Lee boys tennis team Friday lost just one set in earning a 5-0 win over Mount Greylock.

At No. 1 singles, Chris Petrescu defeated Gabe Gerry, 6-3, 6-4. And at second singles, Matt Petrescu picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win over Ryan Keating.

Things were a little closer in doubles.

At first doubles, Mason Mihlek and Cam Tyer needed a first-set tie-breaker before prevailing, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, over Altan McIntosh and Troy Michalak.

At No. 2 doubles, Josh Hartman and Matt Kinney beat Drew Scanlon and Josh Rudin, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.

"Lee is simply too deep for the rest of us in the county,” Mount Greylock coach Blair Dils said. “They compete and force you to hit winners. Matt Petrescu would play No. 1 for every other team in the county except his own, and the Lee doubles teams are master lobbers.

"Both of our doubles teams gave them a little scare, but Lee's consistency, especially in the big points, was too much to overcome."
