Lee Girls, Boys Top Mount Greylock

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Lee girls and boys tennis teams Monday earned wins over Mount Greylock on the Williams College courts.
 
The girls match was decided by the narrowest of margins, with the Wildcats’ Shae Kelly and Sophia Putin each earning a three-set win in singles play to give Lee at 3-2 victory.
 
Lee also got a point in doubles from the No. 2 tandem of Ava Lopez and Valerie Molino.
 
Lee’s boys won their match against the Mounties, 4-1.
 
Korey Chen and Allen Ni each earned a straight-set win in singles play.
 
Mount Greylock’s Oscar Heeringa won at first singles, as did the Mounties’ Mia Patrick in the girls match.
 
“Great high school match for both teams,” Mount Greylock coach John Jacobbe said. “It was a close win for Lee and a great learning experience for our team.”
 
Mount Greylock goes to Monument Mountain on Wednesday.
 
Lee hosts Mount Everett on Wednesday.
