Drury's Meehan Wins at Monument Mountain

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Meryl Phair led a Spartan sweep of the top four spots in the girls cross country meet at Monument Mountain on Wednesday.
 
In the boys race, Drury's Connor Meehan rolled to a relatively easy win, clocking a time of 16 minutes, 15 seconds to finish ahead of second-place Sam Harding of Lee (17:24).
 
Taconic and Pittsfield dominated the top 10 on the boys side.
 
Mohammad Jadallah (17:33), Ryan Serre (17:35) and Tyler Pudlo (17:41) were third, fifth and eighth, repsectively, for Taconic.
 
Pittsfield was led by Tom Lee (17:35) in fourth place. Noah Casino (sixth), Greg Fournier (seventh), Kevin Raynor (ninth) and Lucas Goodwin (10th) rounded out the scoring for th Generals.
 
On the girls side, Meryl Phair was backed up by Grace Phair, Hannah Flynn and Kayla Dillon in second through fourth places. The four Monument Mountain girls finished within 15 seconds of one another.
 
Taconic's Karli Manship (21:09) was fifth. Pittsfield placed three in the top 10, led by Lesley Coumna (21:10) in sixth place.
 
Drury freshman Brooke Digennaro placed eighth in 21:52.
 
Next up for county's harriers is the Berkshire County Individuals meet on Oct. 31 at Reid Middle School in Pittsfield.
