McCann Tech Golfers Battle Rain, Westfield Tech

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- The McCann Tech golf team Tuesday defeated Westfield Tech, 14-4, in a match shortened to six holes due to rain.

 

Ryan Baran led the way, winning his match, 3-0, and carding a 28.

 

Two other Hornets blanked their opponents: Dalton Tatro, who finished at 34, and Sam Ingalls (35).

 

Matt Jette finished at 34 to win his match, 2-1.

 

"This was a very cold and wet match, but both teams had a great showing nonetheless," McCann Tech assistant coach Chris Carr said. "Matt Jette was able to clinch a close match today through his consistent focus on the course. A strong start for Sam Ingalls and a clean finish by Dalton Tatro also made for some great scores for these players."
