Wahconah, McCann Tech Bowlers Pick Up Key Points

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Wahconah rolled into second place in the Berkshire County High School Bowling League on Friday with a 2-1 win over Pittsfield at Ken's Bowl.
 
Amber Wood led the way with the day's best game and best series among the league's girls. She rolled a 216 game and a 395 series in the win.
 
Pittsfield's A.J. Moore owned the day's best scores overall, rolling a 268-226--494.
 
Meanwhile, McCann Tech cemented its hold on first place in the league heading into Friday's Baker format matches at Greylock Bowl and Golf.
 
After seven weeks of round-robin match play, the Hornets are 20-1 after a 3-0 win over fourth-place Lee on Friday (each week, teams compete head-to-head with three standing points on the line).
 
Brandon Vallone led McCann Tech with a 258 high game and a 462 series, both second in the league for the week. Aleasia Yeaton and Kalley Vanuni backed him up with games of 215 and 200.
 
Lee got a 226 game and 418 series from Dingman in the loss.
 
Fifth-place Drury earned a 3-0 win over Taconic behind Madison Moon's 212.
 
Taylor Callahan rolled a 191 game and 348 series to lead Mount Greylock to a 2-1 win over Mount Everett.
