McCann Tech Boys Cross Country Earns Three Dual Wins

HADLEY, Mass. -- Seniors Jadon Hartley and Braedon Delmolino led the McCann Tech boys cross country team to its first sweep in four years when the Hornets topped Hopkins Academy, Easthampton and Mahar on Tuesday.
 
Hartley placed fourth in a time of 17 minutes, 47 seconds,and Delmolino was right behind in fifth place in 18:19.
 
Hopkins' Jonathan Hanscomb won in a course record time of 15:27.
 
McCann Tech (6-3) also scored finishes from Chris Sunn (sixth), Daniel McGrory (ninth) and Daniel Williams (11th).
 
McCann Tech's girls split their dual meets on Tuesday, beating Hopkins but falling to Easthampton by one point.
 
Elliotte Tucker finished sixth in 24:03 to lead the Hornets (4-4). Lily Marceau was seventh, and Madison Gooddell was eighth.
 
Boys team scores: McCann Tech 28, Hopkins Academy 31; McCann Tech 16, Easthampton 39; McCann Tech 25, Mahar 25.
 
Girls team scores: McCann Tech 15, Hopkins Academy 50; McCann Tech 22, Easthampton 23.
