Monument Mountain Edges Mount Everett

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Connor Fennely Wednesday led the Monument Mountain bowling team to a 2-1 win over Mount Everett at Cove Lanes.
 
Fennely has compiled a 164 average through the first two weeks of the season to lead the Spartans.
 
On Wednesday, Monument Mountain dropped the first game to the Eagles but came back to win the second game and the Baker format game to take the day.
 
Lee, Pittsfield, Taconic and McCann Tech each took 3-0 decisions against junior varsity teams from Lee.
 
The day's top individual bowlers were Taconic's Andrew Robitaille and Mya Duhamel.
 
Robitaille led all competitors with a 238 game and 428 series.
 
Duhamel had a 409 series, top among the girls and second overall on the day, and a 205 game that was second among the girls.
 
As a team, Taconic compiled four 400 series, with Mitch McCann (401) and Hunter Golin (400) each averaging 200 pins in his two games.
 
McCann Tech's Meghan Mongeon had the top game (210) and second-best series among the girls (375).
 
The Lee varsity's trio of Bella Kotek, Emily Holian and Jasmine Kearin matched one another with a 326 series that was the third-best two-game score among the girls on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The league returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Cove, where Pittsfield will face McCann Tech, Taconic will face Monument Mountain and Lee will take on Mount Everett.
 
Team standings: 1. Taconic, Lee, Pittsfield, 3-0; 4. McCann Tech, 3-3; 5. Monument Mountain, Lee JV, Lee Orange, 2-4; 8. Mount Everett, Lee Black, Lee Wildcats, 1-5.
