McCann Tech Harriers Split on Senior Day

ADAMS, Mass. – The McCann Tech boys and girls cross country teams split a pair of dual matches on Senior Day Tuesday on the Greylock Glen trail.
 
The Hornets’ boys fell to Easthampton, 19-43, but topped Pioneer Valley Christian on a sixth-place tie-breaker after the first five runners were knotted at 28-28..
 
On the girls side, PVCA edged McCann Tech, 26-33, and the Hornets beat Easthampton, 18-41.
 
Camryn Moran won the girls race in a time of 23 minutes, 41 seconds, beating runner-up Ella Maiher of PVCA by just more than a minute.
 
Kamilia Kondel was fourth, and Rebecca Vallieres was fifth for McCann Tech, which beat PVCA, 
 
In the boys race, McCann Tech’s Brandon Miller finished second with a time of 18:56. PVCA’s Grafton Tolopko won in 18:39.
 
Joshua McGrory was 10th for the Hornets.
 
McCann Tech next Tuesday goes to Hampshire Regional.
