PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Mitch McCann rolled a 421 series Friday to lead the Taconic bowling team to a 3-0 win over Mount Everett as the Berkshire County High School Bowling League made its return to Pittsfield.

Two years after the league's former home at Ken's Bowling was demolished, the county's high school bowlers gathered to compete at K&M Bowling for the second week of the league season.

McCann's 421 was the top series of the day and the best series of the year, narrowly edging the 420 bowled by Pittsfield's Ryan Russo in Week 1.

McCann Friday had the day's two top games, a 213 adn a 208.

The next top games of the day were rolled by Russo (200) and his Pittsfield teammate Matt Dupuis (200). Dupuis had the day's second best series, a 382, as the Generals topped Monument Mountain, 3-0, to stay perfect on the season.

In the day's third varsity match, McCann Tech beat Lee, 2-1.

The Hornets were led by Michael Oakes, who rolled a 180 game and 346 series. His teammate Eve Labarron rolled a 265 series.

The top female bowlers on Friday again came from Lee, whose Emily Holian rolled a 203 game and 362 series. Bella Kotek had the next two top games, 180 and 177, for a 357 series.

League play continues on Wednesday at Great Barrington's Cove Lanes, where second-place Lee will take on first-place Pittsfield. McCann Tech will roll against Mount Everett, and Taconic will face Monument Mountain.
