McCann Tech Bowlers Blank Eagles

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Michael Oakes rolled a 194 game and a 374 series on Wednesday to lead the McCann Tech bowling team to a 3-0 win over Mount Everett at Cove Lanes.
 
The Hornets also got a 191 game from Eve Labarron, who recorded the second best score among the girls of the Berkshire County High School Bowling League in the midweek meet.
 
Lee High's Emily Holian again led the girls with a 227 game and a 416 series as the Wildcats earned a 2-1 win over Pittsfield to pull within one point of first place in the league.
 
Pittsfield's Ryan Russo recorded the best series of the season to date, rolling a 433 in his two games, which included a 225, the best game of the day in the league.
 
The day's third varsity match saw Taconic take a 2-1 win from Monument Mountain behind Mitch McCann (225-172--397).
 
The county league is off next week for the holiday break. On Jan. 5, play resumes at Cove, where Pittsfield will face Mount Everett, Monument Mountain will play against Lee and Taconic will take on McCann Tech.
 
League standings: 1. Pittsfield, 7-2; 2. Lee, 6-3; 3. Taconic and McCann Tech, 5-4; 5. Mount Everett, 3-6; 6. Monument Mountain, 1-8.
